Psychological evaluations typically consist of a series of tests that help determine the correct diagnosis for mental health symptoms and disorders. The results of the evaluation allow you and your mental health provider and/ or medication management provider to determine the appropriate course of treatment. 

A presurgical psychological screening is a risk assessment procedure to determine how psychological factors may influence a person’s surgery results to evaluate whether the individual is psychologically stable for the planned surgery at that time.
