Central Iowa Psychological Services (CIPS) provides the entire range of behavioral healthcare services in an innovative, multi-specialty, group private practice setting. CIPS is composed of a group of specialized experts, including board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioners, neuropsychologist, clinical and counseling psychologists, social workers, mental health counselors, marital and family therapists, and substance abuse counselors.

Our goals are to provide innovative and best-in-class mental health services to as wide a variety of clients as possible to help meet the needs of the community and to provide an excellent working environment and resources for clinicians, so they can focus on what they do best — providing exemplary care to clients.

Our therapists have the flexibility to determine their weekly schedule, the client issues that best match their training, and freedom of practice while working on a clinical team of psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychologists, therapists, and substance abuse counselors.

Our practice offers a wide variety of clinical opportunities depending on what you find meaningful and exciting. Through our unique partnerships with the surrounding community you have the opportunity to not only see clients in a classic outpatient setting but, if you choose, also at local school systems, medical clinics in Story County, various work settings, and local Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities. We also offer innovative consultations, via telehealth, with rural school systems, pediatricians, and family doctors. If part of your career goals include making the community a healthier place to live where mental health is embraced as a valuable and meaningful part of life then CIPS is well positioned to help you achieve that!

We believe in a healthy work/life balance not only for our clients and community but for our staff as well. Clinicians spend their time doing clinical work, not submitting claims and dealing with insurance. We have a separate billing and credentialing department that is responsible for insurance paneling, benefit quotes, and claims submissions. Therapists are only responsible for completing their documentation and submitting the CPT code(s) for each session, making it efficient and easy for therapists to focus on the clinical aspect of private practice.
