Adults and older adolescents (15-17) with a focus on relationship issues, anxiety, depression, eating concerns and psychological testing.

I recently relocated to central Iowa and am currently accepting new clients. The primary focus of my practice is helping adults and older adolescents (15-17) deal with the stresses of life (relationship problems with partners, friends, and family of origin, anxiety, depression, eating concerns, spiritual concerns, etc.). Often when people first begin therapy they have little joy in their lives, and I strive to help them find that joy. I like to say that I help people laugh. While I'm not a comedian one of my goals is to help people feel free enough to LAUGH.

I am both a licensed Psychologist and Health Services Provider in Iowa. I received my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2007 after completing my Psychology Internship at Iowa State University's Student Counseling Service (2005-2006). Prior to moving to Des Moines and joining CIPS, I was employed as a Staff Psychologist at the Wake Forest University Counseling Center for 21 months.
