Clients
of all ages with an emphasis on adolescents and adults. I will have
a significant part of my practice dedicated to psychological testing
for all ages. I also work with people of any age who are experiencing
simultaneous psychological and medical/physical difficulties to improve
general functioning and build a strong, healthy mind-body connection.
I am a licensed psychologist with an undergraduate
degree in Psychology from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin,
MO and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Forest Institute
of Professional Psychology in Springfield, MO. I moved to Iowa in August
2008 after practicing in Nebraska for five years.
I see a wide variety of clients ranging in age from childhood to end
of life, with diverse concerns. I provide outpatient therapy and psychological
evaluations/diagnostic testing as well as pre-surgical assessments for
bariatric surgery and other procedures. I actively consult with physicians
and other health care providers and enjoy working with the elderly in
local nursing homes and assisted living homes. Previously, I have also
served as director of training for a psychology residency program and
domestic violence program as well as coordinator of marketing and nursing
home services. I also served as assistant director of training for pre-doctoral
internship program.
As part of my work with Central Iowa Psychological Services, I enjoy
working with clients of all ages in therapy, with an emphasis on adolescents
and adults. I will have a significant part of my practice dedicated
to psychological testing for all ages. I also work with people of any
age who are experiencing simultaneous psychological and medical/physical
difficulties to improve general functioning and build a strong, healthy
mind-body connection. My approach is integrative in nature and is meant
to meet you where you are and help you to get to the place you desire.
My strategy for therapy is to work together with you, as a team, to
build a treatment plan individualized to your personal needs and goals.
